The safety of traffic and pedestrians on our streets is a priority of the Johnson City Police Department. We enforce and educate the public on NY State and local traffic laws which make our roadways safer by reducing property damage, injuries, and the loss of life as a result of motor vehicle crashes.
The JCPD is actively involved in traffic grants, including the Broome County STOP-DWI program and grant funded traffic safety campaigns such as Buckle Up New York and Operation Safe Stop through the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.
We take charge in review of local laws concerning road safety and the effective flow of traffic. This includes evaluating issues that arise and finding solutions by making necessary changes and ensuring proper posting and maintenance of signs and traffic signals.
If you notice a traffic issue or want to report an ongoing vehicle and traffic law violation, please complete the form below.
Johnson City residents and visitors have the opportunity to report traffic related problems. Each report is reviewed and responded to within 7 business days.
