Traffic SAFETY

The safety of traffic and pedestrians on our streets is a priority of the Johnson City Police Department. We enforce and educate the public on NY State and local traffic laws which make our roadways safer by reducing property damage, injuries, and the loss of life as a result of motor vehicle crashes.

The JCPD is actively involved in the Broome County STOP-DWI program and we participate in annual traffic safety campaigns such as Buckle Up New York, Operation Safe Stop, and Governor's Traffic Safety Committee funded traffic enforcement details.
